Click tracking data
Questions:
- Do we have a limit on the number of Google Analytics events we can fire?
- Events are counted as “hits” which are soft-capped at 10 million per month (source)
- Are we worried about exceeding this limit?
- What can we estimate our # of hits from new event actions to be?
- Need estimate for # of clicks per editing session… and so far unable to find this via inspectlet or GA
- Can we filter/limit the click tracking to avoid exceeding our monthly limit?
- How could we get a representative subset of data?
- Would we be able to track clicks on editor tabs (e.g. “Design”, “Form”, “Settings”, “Payment”)?
- What would we want as the v1 on production?
- Clicks on drilldowns only?
- Upgraded features only?
- Single app-type?
- Is it possible to run Google Optimize in conjunction with this?
Known bugs:
Reactified apps - labels are incorrect

Emilie:
Shouldn’t these be tracked as labels, not event actions? The event action should be “Click”. What is currently showing in event label right now?
Teddy: \ One thing I just noticed: there may be a few controls that have different names in standalone vs. Wix. Not sure the best way to consolidate/separate these sorts of things. Is there something to identify as similar on the Google Analytics side?
