  • No improvement in tutorial landing page speed so far:

  • Prioritize caching tutorial landing pages - they need to load faster. Sessions are tanking since we embedded standalone.
  • Schemas are up on the /plugins pages.
  • 7337 pages indexed.
  • Add 'blocks' to landing pages for WordPress instead of 'plugins'.
  • How do we get into 'blocks' listing on WordPress plugin directory?

  • Move to Cloudflare - will help with speed.
  • Tutorial pages will load much faster if we can cache them.
  • Looking at integrating standalone and tutorial pages this sprint.
  • Schemas being added to plugin pages - need to figure out which one (Product?).
  • Need to keep an eye on rich snippets.
  • Number of indexed pages is up to 7105 (since the Google 'Valentine's Day' update).

  • Mobile speed optimizations being worked on by Praneeta - some updates being launched this sprint
  • Making standalone usable on mobile - Kelsey is getting it live this sprint
  • Emilie looking into 'form' paid ads this sprint opportunity (look at volume for feature-specific searches).
  • Ben to look at errors on console and work on fixing with Eng - mostly soft 404s.
  • Tutorial pages are being indexed but not submitted in site map - needs investigation. Ben to look into updating locale in sitemap (currently 2.3K valid URLs; 5.55K excluded).
  • Ben to look into missing title tags.
  • Add /privacy and /terms to robots.txt file
  • What happened in October that made impressions go down in search? What made impressions go up in July 2018? Emilie volunteers.

Putting Help Center on our domain:

  • Ben looked in to getting Help Center on our own domain.
  • Would be help.powr.io/hc
  • Alternative would be to use their API to build our own stuff dynamically but would require a lot more work
  • Ben has more research to do to figure out how hard this would be. If it's ~1 day to implement a subdomain, then we can do it and test it.
  • Using the API would become a multi-week project and uncertain of impact on SEO - time sink, too may edge-cases.
  • Would have to ensure whatever solution we use has canonical links and not considered as duplicate content.
  • Old links would still work and would be redirected automatically.

Emilie to add paid ads task to next sprint around 'Form'. Investigate what it would take to get an ROI (pricing model etc.). Goal is to see if we can get a decent CTR.
