New App Submission Process:​

Good to know:​

For creating/updating a listing, the inclusion of a .zip file of the app is required. You can get the correct .zip file from this shared folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B99CKDgoeMtedm5jZjFNOXowRzA

  • Need to include an SVG in the zip file
  • Need to submit test payments
  • We can choose to auto-publish an app or manually release it as soon as it’s approved (we usually do manual approval).

Here are the reviewer notes to include for new app submissions: Two test accounts have been created for you to use. One is a free account. The other is a premium account.

An app is re-submitted for review every time we make updates to copy or screenshots. Make sure you update the Release Notes so that users know they don't need to reinstall their app. Include a note in Reviewer Notes to inform the Weebly review team of what the updates were (e.g. 'screenshots updated only, no change to app functionality.')

Note: when submitting an update you may have to open the JSON file in Atom and adjust the Version Number to be one more than the previous submission.

  • Weebly allows basic HTML but no emojis.
  • Weebly does not allow testimonials within the description.
  • Make sure you have screenshots ready in the exact required dimensions; app will not submit unless the correct screenshots are included.
  • Developer info, Pricing, and a few other things can be updated independently from app listing updates. Those do not require a re-submission.
